She was majestic. “What’s wrong, Lai?” a child asked. His voice was earnest and pure. “I’m broken.” Lai said. A wry smile wormed its way through her mouth and onto her lips. “Are you crying?” the child asked. He had an embarrassing honesty about him. “No.” Lai shook her head sharply.
